8th January 2015 - The sanitation networks of the Baiona, Vila Nova de Arousa, Cambados and Ribadumia councils, serve some 41,194 inhabitants- figures that during summer time can be multiplied several times due to the touristic character of the first three ones.

This reality makes them the appropriate sceneries to test the SANePLAN aims: to validate an integrate management system in sanitation and purifying infrastructures which is aware of the urban characteristics and possible changes by the increase or decrease of the population, rainfall variations or other climate change disturbances.

The infrastructures of these 4 councils will be analyzed by experts of the project to compile physical data of the net (pumping location, plumbing, register wells, etc.) and management data like energetic consume and costs.

The goal is to process and show data on a georeferenced way on a web platform which is being developed. It is a central point where legislators, management authorities (both from water and territory), managers or citizens can find interesting data.
