May 5th, 2016 - Today we have had the pleasure of receiving a visit from a representative of the neemo LIFE TEAM, the external team assigned by the European Union to monitor the SANePLAN project.

At the meeting, held in the facilities of the Technological Institute of Galicia (ITG) in A Coruna, all those responsible for the SANePLAN consortium were present. The ITG and the Pontevedra County Council attended in person and Physis, the Italian partner of the project, via videoconference.

All project progress and the focus of the activities that will address the final phase of a project that has exceeded all expectations of implementation were explained in detail. Out of the initial 80 km network, it has spread to cover almost 500 km!

Implementation in Italy is 90% of its execution, while Spain is due for completion in the next few months. To date, more than 150 incidents have been recorded and reliable data has been compiled on the cost of sanitation services, especially information by the participating Town Councils.

n terms of the degree of acceptance of the project, of particular note is the number of agreements reached both with other European projects, and with different entities that support the objectives of SANePLAN.
